Our Facility…

On March 8, 2015 IRPCO moved into a beautiful, new headquarters at 145 Iron Horse Drive, Charleston, WV. The 35,000 square foot facility is the fifth home for IRPCO since our founding in 1973.

The equipment is state of the art for assembling and testing hoses. The facility demonstrates IRPCO’s commitment to be the “best in the business” at providing high quality, tested hose assemblies to our valued customers world-wide.

Our History…

IRPCO was established in 1973 to provide coupled curb pump hose assemblies to Petroleum Equipment Distributors (PED) and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM’s). At that time all curb pump hose assemblies were manufactured and marketed by the rubber companies themselves. The Gates Rubber Company came to the decision that while they did a very good job of manufacturing hose they also did a very poor job of assembling, packaging, and shipping to their customers in a timely fashion.

Gates approached Industrial Rubber Products Company of Charleston, WV about performing these functions and establishing relationships with the PED market. Mr. Bill Basham formed a new company to do just that and thus was born IRPCO. Since 1973 IRPCO has been providing excellent service and high quality products to the petroleum equipment industry. IRPCO has been a leader in quality, being the first assembler to offer UL listed assemblies, and the first in our industry to have International Organization for Standardization (ISO) certification. The company has grown to be a leading supplier of hose assemblies to the petroleum equipment industry with sales all across the globe.

The American flag that flies in front of our building is in honor of our founder, Mr B. H. Basham who had the largest flag in the city of Charleston, WV flown above the Industrial Rubber Products Company building at 815 Court Street.
